Internships

Thank you for your interest in interning at the District office or the Washington, DC office! We are seeking motivated interns to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to learn, a self-started, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with day-to-day office operations including but not limited to; answering and screening phone calls, taking messages, intaking constituent comments or casework, greeting office visitors, etc.
  • Conduct research and compile data for various projects and assignments.
  • Provide administrative support, including but not limited to filing, scanning, and copying.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input and feedback.
  • Possesses a temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Meets attendance requirements as established by the office.
  • Works well under pressure and fast-paced environments.
  • Engaging in constituent correspondence, community outreach, and assisting with special projects at the discretion of the District Director

The term of this internship will be during the summer months. Part-time interns must work at least 10-15 hours a week, Monday-Friday, and hours may be flexible to accommodate students’ course schedules.
