Congressman Don Davis’ Statement on the 2024 Presidential Election Certification

Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) released the following statement after formal certification of the 2024 election results during a joint session of Congress:

“During the joint session of Congress to certify the presidential election, we witnessed the peaceful transfer of power, a true testament to our democratic principles. Despite inclement weather, our dedicated law enforcement community has maintained a strong presence around the Capitol building, reminding us of their invaluable dedication, service, and sacrifice,” said Congressman Don Davis. “I look forward to the presidential inauguration and welcome opportunities to work together with the new administration on behalf of eastern North Carolina families.”
