Congressman Don Davis Appointed as Vice Ranking Member for House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) announced his appointment as the Vice Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness, which is responsible for the single largest account within the Department of Defense’s budget.
"It's an honor to serve as the Vice Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Readiness in the 118th Congress," said Congressman Don Davis. "The men and women of our Armed Services and their families deserve a champion willing to fight for them, so we can keep Americans free and secure.”
The Subcommittee on Readiness has jurisdiction over Department of Defense policy and programs and accounts related to military readiness, training, logistics and maintenance, military construction, organic industrial base, the civilian and contract workforce, environment, military installations and real property management, family housing, base realignments and closures, and energy.
In addition to becoming Vice Ranking Member of the Readiness Subcommittee, Congressman Davis also sits on the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel.
