Congressman Don Davis Announces Wilson Rural Agricultural Grant
GREENVILLE, NC. — Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) is pleased to announce the City of Wilson will receive a $749,463 grant to build a smart agriculture laboratory facility that supports the city’s existing broadband municipal fiber network as part of the United States Department of Agriculture Rural (USDA) Innovation Stronger Economy Grant Program. The lab will include a smart greenhouse/glasshouse, smart field/farm, and smart farmer’s market components.

Such federal investment is essential for helping to propel the City of Wilson into the forefront of cutting-edge agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship, creating more jobs and a brighter future for eastern North Carolinians,” said Congressman Don Davis.
