Congressman Don Davis Announces Nash Community College Distance Learning Grant
GREENVILLE, N.C. — Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) is pleased to announce that Nash Community College will be awarded $348,130 for high-quality video-conferencing equipment and 3D interactive education solutions. The investment as part of the USDA Rural Development Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant program will allow Nash Community College instructors to deliver interactive, immersive college-level distance learning courses to rural high school students, allowing the students to receive college credit while still enrolled in high school.
“By bridging the gap between rural areas and higher education, these federal funds will not only help enrich the lives of our students but also foster a brighter future for eastern North Carolina,” said Congressman Don Davis.
