Congressman Don Davis Announces Grant for East Carolina University to Shape New Cutting-Edge Mathematics Curriculum
GREENVILLE, N.C. — Today, Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) is pleased to announce the National Science Foundation has awarded East Carolina University’s Division of Undergraduate Education grant funding to create cutting-edge curriculum to prepare middle and high school teachers to facilitate productive mathematics discussions with the use of web-based dynamic geometry tools.
“By equipping our educators with the tools and knowledge they need, we empower our students to excel, paving the way for a stronger and more prosperous community,” said Congressman Don Davis. “These federal funds will not only strengthen ECU’s commitment to quality education but also create a brighter future for eastern North Carolina.”
East Carolina University received the following grant:
- Collaborative Research: Preparing Future Middle and High School MathematicsTeachers to Lead Productive Geometry Discussions using Web-Based Dynamic Geometry Technology Tools: $212,613.00
