Congressman Don Davis Announces Additional $17 Million in Community Health Funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) is pleased to announce that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded six additional grants, totaling more than $17 million, to help promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, youth, individuals, and communities in eastern North Carolina through new health services programs.

“For many residents of eastern North Carolina, healthcare is a top-of-mind concern,” said Congressman Don Davis. “We’ve been fighting for more healthcare funding to modernize facilities, improve infrastructure, and give residents easier and more affordable healthcare options. These grants will provide the needed boost to excel our healthcare system to the standard our community deserves.”

 The HHS Administration approved the following grants for NC-01:

  • ​​Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc.: $2,986,454
  • Greene County Health Care, Inc.: $4,410,401
  • Roanoke-Chowan Community Health Center, Inc.: $1,120,976
  • Rural Health Group, Inc.: $3,114,244
  • Economic Improvement Council Inc.: $2,839,351
  • Nash Edgecombe Wilson Community Action, Inc.: $3,012,893
