Congressman Don Davis Announces $749,389 in Federal Funding to Fight Substance Abuse

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Don Davis (NC-01) is pleased to announce the Wilson County Substance Abuse Coalition has been awarded $749,389 in grant funding for their project, Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Impact.
“The devastating and often heartbreaking impact of opioid overdose on families is a significant concern, and this federal investment aims to enhance access to treatment and recovery services in eastern North Carolina,” said Congressman Davis. “We must combat substance abuse to save lives and provide vital support to those struggling with addiction.”
- $749,389 to the Wilson County Substance Abuse Coalition from the Health Resources and Services Administration
- This grant will provide discretionary funding to the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Impact.
