Congressional App Challenge Announcement
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Don Davis is pleased to announce that his office is hosting a 2024 Congressional App Challenge.
“The Congressional App Challenge celebrates the creativity and knowledge of bright young programmers throughout NC-01. We are looking forward to seeing the exciting projects that our talented eNC programmers come up with,” said Congressman Don Davis.
The Congressional App Challenge is a competition aimed at encouraging middle and high school students to learn how to code by creating their own applications. The Challenge is intended to highlight the value of computer science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education.
The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high school students in North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District. Students entering the competition must submit their app to CongressionalAppChallenge.us during the competition submission period through October 24, 2024.
The winner from the 1st Congressional District, chosen by a panel of expert judges, will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us. The winning app will also be eligible for display in the U.S. Capitol, honoring the winners nationwide.
